Introducing Tommy Booth-Cole, Chef de Partie


 

How long have your worked for Suzanne James Catering?

From school really, on and off for about four years.


What do you love about your job?

I love working in so many exciting venues, and I have a valid excuse to eat all day!

What food do you love to prepare?

Canapes are really good fun to put together (mostly), it's amazing how many different processes are required to create something that is then consumed in one bite!


What's your favourite food to eat?

I absolutely love Thai food.


If you could dine with anyone, past or present who would it be?

Andrea Pirlo (coolest footballer ever)!


Where did you train?

I am really lucky to have been given on the job training. Graham & Suzanne have been

amazing mentors and are incredibly supportive in helping me improve my skills.

What did you do before you worked for Suzanne James?

I was overseas working for Ski Olympic, running my own chalet and then in a small hotel.

What do you like to do when you're not at work?

Football, sunbathing, walking the dog and cooking the family dinner!


What's the hardest thing about being a chef?

The hours can be really punishing, it is quite hard to get the right balance between work and your social life.

If you weren't a chef, what would you be?

A marine biologist, I love the idea of scuba expeditions and marine conservation.


Why do you think you're the most popular member of staff? (Editors note, this question appears to have been added by TBC himself!!).

It is hard to put my finger on it, but I think it is probably down to my great sense of humour, down to earth mind set and good looks!
